Dear Reader,
Good things come to those who wait!
And on that note… we’ve decided to push the release date of The Highland Bad Boy, the fifth book in the True Scotsman series, back by a month—to May, 15.
Why? Well, as this is the last instalment in the series, we want to make sure it’s absolutely perfect. Robbie and Cat’s story deserves nothing less, and we’re taking the extra time to polish every page, every word, and every heart-stopping moment. Trust us, it’ll be worth the extra wait.
We’re sending our newsletter a little early this month because we wanted you to be the first to know about this change.
10 Things We Love about Robbie McDonald
Amy is obsessed with Robbie. Like, seriously obsessed. Gavin’s starting to wonder if he should get a tattoo and a motorcycle just to keep up. 😂
In fairness, what’s not to love about Robbie? He’s a brooding, alpha-male hero with a past and a big heart.
Here is why you’re guaranteed to love him. FYI, you may want to don your pearls for reading this bit (for clutching purposes):
- He is 6'5" with shiny onyx hair and look-into-your-soul blue eyes 👀
- His large tattooed hands can make pretty much anything out of wood 🪓
- He’s a former underground bare-knuckle fighter 💪
- He’s a lone wolf in need of a pack 🐺
- He saved Jamie McIntyre’s life seven years ago 🚑
- He doesn’t let many people in, but is fiercely protective when he does 🙎
- He’s not afraid to go after what (or who) he wants 🏃
- He steals Catriona McIntyre’s underwear and hides it in his house 👙
- He likes to be dominant in the 🛏️
- He has two piercings, one in his eyebrow, the other… somewhere else 😉

Gym Club Chronicles
In other news, we’ve started working out together at the gym! 🏋️♀️🏋️♂️ It all started as an innocent attempt to get a bit fitter, but one unexpected side effect? Sometimes our workouts turn into brainstorming sessions.
Picture this: Amy mid-squat suddenly exclaims, “What if Robbie fights off three guys at once here?” Or Gavin on the treadmill blurts out, “What if they kiss on the motorcycle?”
Needless to say, the other gym-goers give us some pretty funny looks when we start passionately debating plot twists between sets.
And okay, yes… we’ll admit it. We do check each other out from time to time—exactly like Lewis and Iona in book 3. 💕
Here’s a little extract from The Highland Crush to set the mood:
Sorry, but the extract was for newsletter subscribers only.
Thirsty for More Contemporary Scottish Romance?
An author friend of ours, Beatrice Bradshaw, author of the Escape to Scotland series, has a brand new release out based on a marriage of convenience. We love the cover and the premise!
